Purchase Verification Certificates Terms of Use

These Purchase Verification Certificates (“Certificates”) Terms of Use ("Terms") shall determine the terms of use of Certificates in points of sale of the GDI LLC, legal entity under the laws of Georgia, registered at 3A Giorgi Mdivani Str., 0120, Tbilisi, Georgia, Fiscal Code: 406181616 (“Seller”).
1. Terms and Definitions
- 1.1. Purchase Verification Certificate (hereinafter “Certificate”) - is a tangible carrier made in the form of a plastic card with a unique number and a barcode, which confirms the fact of an advance payment being made to the Seller and accordingly the right of the Certificate Holder to receive the Goods within the limits and for a Nominal Value (namely, not exceeding that nominal value) of the Certificate in Seller’s points of sale. Certificate is not a currency.
- 1.2. Certificate Nominal Value - is a Certificate nominal value corresponding to the respective advance payment made and to which a maximum value of Products may be received by the Holder
- 1.3. Certificate Claim is a right of the Certificate Holder to claim for the provision of Products corresponding to the amount of the Certificate Nominal Value.
- 1.4. Seller is GDI LLC, legal entity under the laws of Georgia, registered at 3A Giorgi Mdivani Str., 0120, Tbilisi, Georgia, Fiscal Code: 406181616. Certificates are issues by the Seller and can only be used in the Seller’s points of sale.
- 1.5. Certificate Holder is a person who holds a Gift Certificate and has a right to claim on its basis. The Certificate is transferable. However, the purchase of the Goods with the certificate can only be made by a legal age nicotine user.
- 1.6. Certificate Validity Period is a period during which the Certificate Holder shall be eligible for receipt of Products within the Certificate Nominal Value.
- 1.7. Products or Goodsare only tobacco-heating systems, namely model IQOS 2.4 Plus, IQOS MULTI and IQOS 3 DUO and accessories to the said tobacco-heating systems, subject to availability at the Seller’s points of sale.
- 1.8. Website shall mean the website www.iqos.com (as redirected to www.ge.iqos.com).
2. Certificates Terms of Use
You can make an advance payment for the purchase of Products in the Seller’s points of sale and receive a Certificate to confirm that advance payment You must be of legal age.
- 2.1. Where can Certificates be purchased? You can purchase the Certificate in the Seller’s points of sale subject to availability.
- 2.2. Terms to Know By purchasing the Certificate and/or making a purchase with it, the Certificate Holder confirms reading and agreeing to their Terms and Conditions.
- 2.3. Where can Certificates be used? A Certificate Holder can receive Products for the amount indicated on the Certificate (Certificate Nominal Value) in the Seller’s point of sale.
- 2.4. Not a Payment Instrument. The Certificate is not a payment instrument or payment document, it is not subject to the exchange for money. No monetary equivalent of the Certificates shall be paid.
- 2.5. Single Use. The Certificate can be used only once since, after making a purchase with the Certificate, the latter shall be withdrawn by the Seller.
- 2.6. Possible Additional Payment. If the Products cost more than the Certificate Nominal Value, the Certificate Holder must pay the difference between the value of the Product selected for purchase and the Certificate Nominal Value.
- 2.7. No Balance Returned. If the Products cost is less than the Certificate Nominal Value, no difference between the value of purchased Products and the Certificate Nominal Value shall be reimbursed. At the Seller’s discretion the remaining amount can be used to purchase additional Products.
- 2.8. Sale Without a Discount. The Certificate is not a discount document. No discounts whatsoever are provided for our Products.
- 2.9. Combination of Certificates. Certificates Nominal Value is not combined, meaning you can only buy one Product with one Certificate.
- 2.10. Validity. Validity period shall be 3 months from the date of the actual advance payment which the Certificate confirms rounded up until the last day of the month in which the mentioned 3 months expire. The validity may not be prolonged. Upon expiration of the validity the Certificate may not be used for purchase of the Products.
- 2.11. Certificate Loss or Damage. Lost Certificates are not refunded. If the unique number and/or barcode on the Certificate is damaged the Certificate may not be used.
- 2.12. The Certificate can only be used for purchase of the Products by the legal age user of nicotine-containing products. If the mentioned status is not confirmed the Seller will refuse to sell the Products. To prove age a valid hardcopy of the ID must be presented at a point of sale.
- 2.13.If a Certificate is reserved on the Website to be picked up at the Seller’s point of sale the Terms of Product Reservation shall apply.
3. Certificate Identification
- 3.1.The Certificates feature the following obligatory elements in appearance:
- 3.1.1.The Certificate face. On the certificate face there is a certificate nominal value indicated, "Purchase verification certificate " and “Certificate can be used by legal age nicotine user with Personal ID Card” inscriptions and unique barcode and number underneath.
- 3.1.2.The Certificate back. The Certificate back. The Certificate back contains the following text:

- Certificate is a proof of an advance payment made for purchase of one IQOS full device (2.4 Plus, 3 DUO, Multi)

- Valid only on the territory of the country of Georgia
- 3.2. Personnel working at the Seller’s point of sale shall be responsible for Certificate identification.
4. Certificate Sales and Redemption
- 4.1.The Certificates can be sold and redeemed only when there is a technical possibility to do so at the Seller’s point of sale.
- 4.2. In case of violation of these Terms, any sale and redemption of the Certificate to you may be denied.
5. Miscellaneous
- 5.1.The Seller shall be entitled to make changes to these Terms on an ex parte basis. The Seller shall notify the Certificate Holder of changes to the Terms within 10 calendar days prior to entry into force of a new edition of the Terms by posting the relevant information (notification) on the Website in the Purchase Verification Certificates Terms of Use section.
- 5.2. Notice of changes to the Terms shall be deemed to be sent to the Certificate Holder if it has been posted on the Website in the Purchase Verification Certificates Terms of Use section.
- 5.3. In case of the occurrence of the situation allowing ambiguous interpretation of these Terms and/or issues not regulated by these Terms, the final decision shall be made by the Seller. The Seller shall not be liable in the event that circumstances occur such as natural disasters, fire, flood, military actions of any nature, electricity or Internet access disruption, equipment malfunction, blockades, substantial changes in legislation, other circumstances beyond the Seller's control.
